She
attended Johnson and Wales University Culinary School in North Miami
to further perfect her craft. At the same time, she worked as a
nurse at Mercy Hospital.
In
1995, Sandra came to New Orleans to work as a nurse at Tulane Hospital
and she also started a small catering business on the side. Her
menu included a large variety of dishes from the Mediterranean,
Middle Eastern and Latin cuisine. She also excels in the preparation
of traditional New Orleans dishes. Fabulous taste, freshness, originality
and beautiful presentation characterize her food.
Sandra's
knowledge and experience as a nurse give her the ability to implement
wholesome and balanced dietary norms to her extensive menu.
Sandra
opened Café Arabesque, a quaint, small restaurant
at 211 La Salle St. across the street from Tulane Hospital. This
fulfilled her life-long dream of opening her own business. She offers
a variety of delicious pressed sandwiches, salads, a different lunch
special every day, many other wonderful dishes and an extensive
catering menu.
